Sometimes life brings you places were you don't want to go. Maybe your moving to the desert from Alaska or maybe you're moving to another country. In whatever case, nothing good will come out of whining and complaining, it will just annoy the people around you. Learn to cope with the change.
Make a list of all the good and bad things of the place you have moved to. You will learn to appreciate the good things and also realize it has faults. (ex. if you live in the desert, a good thing is the nice weather during the winter and the variety of temperatures through out the state. Bad things might be the weather in the summer.)
Learn about the local culture. You might discover something interesting about the area you have moved to. Go to local festivals, read books on the history. (Ex: you know nothing about Arizona. Learn about the Vaquaros and local legends.)
Meet the local people. Talk to them and make some friends. Sometimes this will help if you meet someone new and interesting. It will help you cope.
Explore the Area. Go on hikes, bike rides or drives. Maybe there will be a place you might want to check out, like a park or mall.
Eat the local cuisine. In different regions of the world, the food changes. Sometimes there will be a dish that you didn't try or a type of food that you can only eat at a local restaurant. (ex. If you move to Arizona, check out local restaurant and if you never had good Mexican food, find a place that makes authentic Mexican food. Try to eat some spicy food or Cactus Jelly.
